Burnout is an disagreeable and dysfunctional condition that both individuals and organizations would like to change. Job burnout is a corollary of the perceived discrepancy between the demands of the job and the resources (both material and emotional) that an employee has available to him or her.
Factors Effecting Job Burnout
The factors significant on burnout have been indicated in many studies over the years. Burnout has much negative property on organization as well as on individual. Pessimism job displeasure, low organizational commitment, and quitting the job can be mentioned among the most important effects on organization. There are positive ways of preventing burnout. However, one requirements to notice burnout in the first place in order to put into practice all these methods. In this regard, the first cryptogram demonstrating the emergence of burnout is of vital importance. Colleagues, chiefs or subordinates may help an individual notice these signs. However, what is ideal is an attempt by organization to keep burnout under control without fail through an advanced detailed program, and to intervene through certain preventive methods when required. Finally, different methods are suggested for decreasing the burnout levels of employees.
Work burnout is viewed as a result of a long haul of anxiety (Elit, et al. 2004), and as said above, it is corresponded with numerous occupation negative responses. Clearly, the negative results of occupation burnout are too immoderate for associations. However, what is ideal is an attempt by organization to keep burnout under control consistently through an advanced detailed program, and to intervene through certain preventive methods when required. The literature contains no consilience in this matter (Ericson-Lidman and Strandberg, 2007). Finally, different methods are suggested for decreasing the burnout levels of employees.
The main benefit of this research will be to inculcate an idea in their minds that the ground reality could be different. May the turnover in the organization is due to the job burnout or lack of interest of employees. May be the lack of progress is directly or indirectly related to this element which is not under their consideration. This study will also enhance the importance of employee’s job burnout and its reasons and will point out the ways to solve the issues which cause burnout. This study will also show the existing satisfaction level of the employees of selected organization and will be helpful in improving it by taking some measures in the light of this study. The HR department of can also be benefited from this research because they have not conducted any research to find out whether job burnout exist in their organization or not and what are the reasons of job burnout to take corrective measures.
This will be also beneficial for me in different ways like this project will help me to gain vast knowledge of reasons of employee job burnout. It will also help me to find which reasons are creating job burnout among employees; if any and affecting BSS performance adversely.
This study will also be useful for those students who are doing research or will do research in the HR field on same or similar topic on education industry/sector or some other industry and also fresh graduates who are seeking a career in the HR department. After studying this project, they will know the reasons of employee job burnout and can avoid them for success and growth.
