Dear Students,
The FIN619 Project Proposal is a crucial component of the MBA program, serving as a necessary requirement for students to successfully complete their degree. This assignment allows students to demonstrate their understanding of financial concepts and their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Crafting a well-structured project proposal is not only essential for passing the course but also for developing the skills required to excel in the competitive business environment. With the right guidance and resources, students can create compelling proposals that reflect their expertise and insights in finance.
This is to inform you that the fin619 project course is designed for the students who are doing the job. In this connection, you are required to submit the latest JCL (Job Confirmation Letter) in soft form as proof of your employment status. Assignment No. 1 (Submission of Job Confirmation Letter) is opened on VU-LMS of this course for uploading the colored scanned copy of JCL with a due date: of 27th May 2024. Overseas students are required to ensure their employer/authorized person sends a colored scanned copy of their “Job Confirmation Letter” within due date directly to the Course Instructor at fin619@vu.edu.pk from his/her (employer/ authorized person) official e-mail account. But they are also required to upload their JCL in the relevant assignment. However, students who have already submitted their JCLs are required to seek guidance regarding the status of their JCLs from their course instructor via e-mail at fin619@vu.edu.pk.
While Assignment No. 2 (Proposal for Final Project) is also opened on VU-LMS of this course (with due date: 27th May, 2024) in which students are required to submit the proposal for the project. The format of the MGT619 Project Proposal is available on VU-LMS in Course Handbook under the “DOWNLOADS” section of the course.
Before starting your FIN619 Project proposal, it is hereby advised to explore the following links and sections to get the helping material as well as format:

A list of topics is also available in the DOWNLOADS section on VU-LMS for guidance purposes. Students are advised to explore the “List of Topics” file before starting working on their proposal. You may select any topic from the list but it is not allowed to submit the same work as already submitted by any other student.
A document related to “Common Mistakes Observed in Students’ Proposal for FIN619 Final Project” is available in the DOWNLOADS section. Read this document before working on your proposal as it will help you to write and present your Proposal for Final Project appropriately.
You must submit your proposal by uploading it against Assignment No. 2 (Proposal for Final Project) on VU-LMS before or within the due date which is 27th May 2024 (available in the course calendar/lesson index). Submissions received after the due date via E-mail will not be entertained.
For Assignment No. 1:
All necessary guidelines and requirements related to JCL submission are mentioned in the Course Hand Book which is available in the Downloads section of the course on VU-LMS. Remember that no student will be called for Presentation and Viva Voce without JCL submission and acceptance even if he/she passes written work (Proposal and Final Project).
For Assignment No. 2:
Assignment No. 2 (Proposal for Final Project) is COMPULSORY to attempt. The Assignment will be evaluated to determine the validity of the proposal.
It is required to submit a complete proposal (not only the topic) according to the specified format available in the Course Hand Book that can be accessed through the Downloads section of the course on VU-LMS.
As you know the load shedding problem is also prevailing in our country. Keeping in view the fact, you all are advised to submit your proposal as early as possible without waiting for the due date. For your convenience; you have been communicated well before time so that you can manage your activities, therefore no excuse will be entertained after the due date of the assignment.
24 hours extra/grace period after the due date will be available for submission on VU-LMS. The purpose of providing a grace period is to overcome uploading difficulties that may be faced by the students on the due date. This extra time should only be used to meet the emergencies and above mentioned due date should always be treated as final to avoid any inconvenience.
Copied work will be completely rejected without any consideration and shall be strictly dealt with as per Clause No.1 of ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY given below:
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Virtual University has Zero Tolerance Policy for plagiarized work. Such cases are dealt with very strictly as per HEC rules.
