Advertising strategies Ufone v/s Warid(2013)

 Advertising is vital elements of marketing mix for increasing sales revenue by gaining more and more customers through effective advertising strategy. This tool was used first in the modern countries, but now it is becoming very famous in everywhere due to huge competition in the market. Any company who want competitive advantage in the market, it should adopt effective marketing strategy to compete. Various study has been conducted over this topic, how to company attract the customers through using different advertising channel.

Advertising promotion strategies of Ufone

The purpose of this study is comparison of advertising strategies between Ufone with that of Warid in pre-pared connection. The study will find out what are the various advertisement tools that both companies are adopting for gaining more customers and which is more effective. It is open crystals that both are market leaders and have effective advertising strategy; mostly customers come after seeing company ads. As we know that today is the age of competition, most of the companies are focusing and spend lot of revenue on advertising to attract the customers. I have heard from the lot of people that Warid is attracting customers through effective market strategy; on the other hand, we cannot ignore Ufone also. This is very vital element from the market mix that are using to deliver a product message to people because lots of companies are surveying in the market. so this reseaerch is going to conduct over advertising promotion strategies of Ufone and Warid in prepaid connection.

1.1 Introduction of the project

Advertising is vital elements of marketing mix for increasing sales revenue by gaining more and more customers through effective advertising strategy. How companies deliver its product message to their audience efficiently and effetely. It is true that, affect message or ad strategy hence the company outcomes. So in Pakistan lots of Telecommunications Companies are now surveying in the market and we have seen often their advertisement seems like a war. Hence for study purpose, how customers buy a connection, how they come, what is role of advertisement for gaining more and more customers, I have selected this topic advertising strategy. This study is going to conduct over both companies named Ufone and Warid in pre-pared connection. The main reason behind this study is do analysis on both companies advertising strategy and this study also do some comparison for core result.

1.2 Background of the project

The back ground of this study is comparison of advertising strategies between Ufone with that of Warid in pre-pared connection. The study will find out what are the various advertisement tools that both companies are adopting for gaining more customers and which is more effective. It is open crystals that both are market leaders and have effective advertising strategy; mostly customers come after seeing company ads. For study purpose this study is going to conduct for getting knowledge how what people think when they see the company ads, what are their perception towards particular company ads. What are the people perception about Ufone and Warid Advertisement?. For core finding, analysis over both companies advertising strategy will be carried out for better understanding .

1.3 Significance of the project

The significance of the report will give a broad comparison of price strategies, how they will affect on customer preferences and how market grows through these decisions.  At Mobilink, They take pride in practicing the highest ethical standards in an open and honest environment, and by honoring their commitments. Does their commitment are proved as they should be or not?

Warid Telecom makes changes in their prices when, why, where and how it affects. All this information in the study will cover and this will be based upon true statistical analysis as well both companies’ comparisons through PERT, SWOT etc analysis.

The beauty of the this report is that it will not only make comparison but also highlight how to improve these hurdles and when to take the significant actions that are not yet taken by both companies for the welfare of customer truly and honestly.

Price decision that is done on higher level how it should be evaluated to judge the future value for services provided and which step will make a contrast in long term benefits. Both companies do have some strength and weaknesses but why they still follow only those trends are just growing without any misconception. Answering these questions will give this report a benefit and my skills will be improved in doing marketing.

Price

Warid pricing rates to other telecommunication companies, Warid offers its services with low and affordable rates. The price of product matters in the market but low price with high density service is not an easy task to accomplish.

Promotion

Warid also promote its product company used media of printing, electronic media, posters, brochures and broachers been used for the realization of several clients. Occasionally, Ufone promote your services / plans for its users and the general public through the use of various types of promotion channels. Through the ads people are aware about the product and are able to choose the best option to meet their needs in mobile telecommunications.

Place

Warid has added 5.87 million subscribers in 2010 -2011.Ufone total cell sites have reached to 4,471. Ufone is the network operator which Operates with a network of more than 4546 franchisees and company-owned customer service centers along with a distribution network of 153,660 outlets nationwide. Warid is covering over 6444 key destinations. Ufone is the ultimate means to stay connected wherever business takes consumers allowing seamless roaming through the network providing the best nationwide coverage.

Summary

We have seen that this study has been conducted on the topic of advertising strategy of Ufone with that of Warid. As we have seen our results, respondents have shared their views towards both companies. Some important facts are under below

  1. Warid have more effective advertising strategy as compare to Ufone
  2. Majority of the consumers watch Warid ads on TV almost 5 time a day as compare to Ufone
  3. Majority of the consumers were strongly agree that Warid ads were clear to understand as compare to Ufone
  4. Majority of the consumers were found strongly agree that Warid ads frequency were much appropriate then Ufone
  5. Majority of the consumers were found strongly agree that Warid ads were much informative then Ufone
  6. Majority of the respondents were found strongly agree that Warid ads are more relevant to them
  7. Warid ads were more fun to watch as compare to Ufone
  8. Most of the consumers were found strongly agree that Warid provide useful information regarding to product as compare to Ufone

Limitations

 

  1. This study was conducted in a large two companies in Kuwait. The sample was selected from consumers of both companies in the market. Due to the convenience sampling technique was actually used for data collection. Accordingly, the conclusion can not be generalized and therefore may be low in external validity.
  2. Another limitation is that due to lack of time and resources, only college students were selected for study to prepare an analysis of advertising strategy
  3. Due to limit resource and time , a randomly preferred sample has been selected respondents for making an analysis of advertising effectiveness on consumers
